CAF CC: Michael Osei call on Asante Kotoko to believe in themselves ahead of Zesco United clash

Former Asante Kotoko coach, Michael Osei, has called on the club to approach their game against Zambian Electricity Supply Company (ZESCO) United with self-belief as the weapon to defeat the Zambians.

The Porcupine Warriors will honour their second CAF Confederation Cup game against the Zambians at the Baba Yara Stadium tomorrow after losing their opening game 0-1 to Al Hilal in Omdurman last week.

However, the Star Madrid coach believes the Porcupine Warriors can overcome the threat of the high-flying Zambians once they adopt the self-confidence attitude to avoid any unnecessary pressure.

Despite the loss in their first game, Osei believes that Kotoko have the quality to go toe-to-toe with their group opponents and encouraged them to win all their home games to enhance their chances to qualify for the quarter-finals.

“They shouldn’t put any pressure on themselves because no one expected them to get to that zone because we weren’t playing any competitive tournament prior to the CAF tournament this year,” Coach Osei told the Daily Graphic in an interview.
