Head of coach AshantiGold, Ricardo da Rocha says his lads are well prepared ahead of their clash against Moroccan side RS Berkane in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Miners will play last year's finalist in the second round of the competition after knocking out Equatoguinean side Akonangui FC in the preliminary stage.

Speaking ahead of the big game, coach Ricardo da Rocha says his players are aware of the threat posed by the North Africans but they are prepared for the crucial game.

“We are aware of the threat posed by Berkane and what they managed to achieve last season, reaching the final of the competition on their debut,” he said.

“I know how dangerous they are at home and how good they can be on their travels on their day and my boys are very well prepared and ready for such a big game because we always train for such a big occasion.

“I have a lot of tactical discipline and technically gifted players which make me feel good about the match and I believe that my boys will face them squarely on the day,” Da Rocha added.

Ashgold will host RS Berkane at the Len Clay Stadium on September 14 in the first leg before travelling to Morocco for the second leg.
