Dreams FC striker John Antwi expresses confidence ahead of their match against Zamalek SC on Sunday.

The FA Cup champions are currently in Egypt for the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final first-leg tie scheduled to be staged at the Cairo International Stadium with the return leg scheduled for Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Antwi, who has played for five Egyptian clubs from 2012 to 2020, stands out as one of the top performers in the competition, tallying five goals and two assists.

With his extensive experience in Egyptian football, having played for Al Ahly, Pyramids, Gaish, Ismaily, and El Makasa, Antwi is well aware of the challenge posed by Zamalek.

"It's a big club considering their history and achievements in African competitions, as well as the quality of players they have," he tells Joy Sports.

Dreams FC reached the semi-final stage after a 3-2 aggregate win over Stade Malien, while Zamalek secured their spot with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Modern Future.

Antwi acknowledges the difficulty of the upcoming match but believes in his team's hard work and preparation.

"It's not going to be an easy encounter, but I have faith in the team, the effort we've put in, and I believe we'll get a positive result," he concludes.

If Dreams FC advances, they will join Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko as the only Ghanaian clubs to reach the final of the competition.
