Dreams FC are set to face Egyptian giants Zamalek in the semifinals of the CAF Confederations Cup what promises to be an epic showdown.

The clash kicks off in Cairo on April 21 for the first leg, with the return match scheduled for April 28 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Despite being newcomers to the tournament, Dreams FC have defied all odds by progressing to this pivotal stage and now harbour ambitions of advancing even further to secure a coveted spot in the finals.

Yet, their path to glory is obstructed by Zamalek, a powerhouse boasting an illustrious history and an imposing presence in African football. With five CAF Champions League titles to their name, Zamalek stand as a formidable adversary.

In the quarterfinals, Zamalek dispatched fellow Egyptian outfit Modern Future with a 3-2 aggregate triumph, while Dreams FC impressed by edging out Stade Malien with the same aggregate scoreline.

For Dreams FC, their journey has been nothing short of a fairy tale, having topped their group in the earlier rounds and now standing on the precipice of a historic feat.

However, to transform their dreams into reality and secure a shot at the ultimate prize, they must first navigate past the formidable challenge posed by Zamalek.
