He made this statement following a three-day CAF Regional Club Licensing Workshop in Accra, which saw the participation of 15 Member Associations at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel.

The 15 Member Associations that attended the workshop included Ghana (the host country), Egypt, Nigeria, Liberia, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Kenya, South Africa, Eswatini, Botswana, Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, and São Tomé e Príncipe.

Speaking at the close of the workshop, Sidat urged authorities to schedule more of these workshops.

“CAF has to play a role and obviously FIFA with the different stakeholders and federations to provide more support and more courses,” he said in an interview played on Asempa FM.

“You know, workshops like this, like the one we will have with the Ghana Premier League club, to educate them on certain tools, how to manage clubs, and how to manage competitions.

“I think that's the starting point because you always learn from somewhere. We as Africans, we are fanatics about football.”
