Club Licensing Committee rejects Wa All Stars proposal to use the Madina Astro turf
The Club Licensing Committee has rejected Wa All Stars proposal to use the newly-constructed Madina Astro turf as their home venue for the 2018/19 season.
This could however force the Club to host their home matches at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The turf which is located Madina Zongo was commissioned on 2nd December 2019 by President Akufo-Addo, was built to create a conducive environment for the training and development of sporting talent in Zongo communities.
The national soccer team, the Black Stars, trained on the it prior to enplaning for Sao Tome and Principe for their 2021 Africa Cup of Nation qualifying match.
Wa All Stars was previously playing their home games in Wa before it was purchased former footballer John Painstil.
