Congolese striker Gilbani O’Neil Ndongani Samba reveals he turned down offers from other clubs to join Asante Kotoko

Congolese defender Ndongani Samba Gilbani O’Neil has revealed he turned down offers from other clubs to join Asante Kotoko.

The highly-rated defender completed his move to the Porcupine Warriors on Thursday and is expected to play a huge role for the club in the upcoming season.

He penned a two-year contract with the Ghanaian giants, keeping him at the club until 2026.

Speaking to the club’s media, Samba shared his excitement after securing a move to the Ghanaian giants whiles disclosing he turned down other clubs to join the Porcupine Warriors.

"Kotoko is a big club and I'm thrilled to be here," he remarked.

"When my manager informed me of Kotoko's interest, I immediately instructed him to halt any discussions with other clubs so I could focus on coming here."

“I am committed to proving my quality on the pitch and helping the team win the league,” he stated in his first interview.

Ndongani becomes the fourth signing of Asante Kotoko in the off-season, joining new recruits Emmanuel Antwi, Esmat Hassabalbagi, and Yoouef Yagoub.
