Ghana midfielder, Francis Abu has indicated that he is excited with his contract extension deal at Cercle Brugge.

According to him, the new deal shows how the Belgian club believes in him.

Speaking after sealing the one-year extension, Francis Abu said he feels strong and will do his best for his team.

"I am very happy to be able to sign an extra year and am already looking forward to what is yet to come. Cercle gives me a lot of chances, that's the most important thing. With this extension, they show that they believe in me.

โ€œAfter my injury, I'm stronger than ever before. It's also more and more fun to come back to a team that is running well after an injury. Everyone here is hungry and pushing each other," Francis Abu said as quoted on the website of Cercle Brugge.

In the new deal, Francis Abu will have the option to extend for an additional year when it expires.
