Current Black Meteors team, the worse I have seen - Charles Taylor
Former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko star, Charles Taylor says the current Black Meteors team is the worse he has ever seen in Ghana football.
The Ghana U3 team exited the tournament at the group stage, failing to qualify for the Paris Olympic Games next year.
During this year's tournament, the Black Meteors managed to secure only one victory, a nervy 3-2 win against Congo.
However, they suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat to Morocco and could only draw 1-1 against Guinea in their crucial must-win match. They conceded eight goals in just three games.
“I believe there is more quality at Black Meteors than Black Stars. Meteors is one step away from Black Stars so there are a lot of quality players there”
“These are the same players who are likely to fill the Black Stars in some years to come. But with this caliber of players, I can boldly say this is the worst under 23 I have ever seen in my life”
“They lack quality and there’s no talent in the current of crop of players. None of the players does nothing special with the ball on the field and it’s really sad” he said.
