Diawisie Taylor nears Aduana Stars move

Karela United attacker Charles Diawisie Taylor is edging closer to completing a move to Aduana Stars amidst huge interests from Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.

Taylor gave Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Nana Agyemang Badu II, King of Dorma and bankroller of Aduana Stars his word, assuring he will surely play for Aduana Stars if only he does not travel abroad. Moreover, the Dormaa based side have tabled a bigger offer compared to what Asante Kotoko is offering, and Taylor has his heart towards the ‘Ogya’ boys as he said he cannot afford to deceive Dormaahene after giving him initial assurances.

While Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu is said to be close friend of Diawisie’s manager, Asante Kotoko looks left being in the race for Taylor because of loyalty and financial issues. The deadly attacker is a major target for the newly appointed Kotoko gaffer but the wind is just not blowing to his favour as the Dormaa import decides to play for two times league champions.

Accra Hearts of Oak are also highly interested in signing Taylor as coach Kim Grant looks to bolster his attacking machinery ahead of the new league season which commences this month.

Interestingly, Taylor was in Accra on Monday where the Phobians have been arranging a meeting between him and Togbe Afede XIV, Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, but the player has reportedly declined.

In effect, despite the interests from Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, Diawisie Taylor may end up at Aduana Stars all things being equal.
