Dutch-Ghanaian youngster Jeremie Frimpong on target as Leverkusen see off Frankfurt with a 5-1 win

Dutch youngster, Jeremie Frimpong scored for Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday evening to help the side to put Eintracht Frankfurt to the sword in a 5-1 victory.

The player who is of Ghanaian descent missed out on a starting role for the German Champions in their Week 32 encounter of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season but was introduced in the second half.

In the game today, Granit Xhaka scored after 12 minutes to open the scoring for Beyer Leverkusen.

Later in the 32nd minute, the hosts restored parity after Hugo Ekitike equalized with a fine strike.

Before halftime, Patrick Schick scored to restore the lead for the visitors.

After recess, Dutch-Ghanaian Jeremie Frimpong got his name on the scoresheet as Bayer Leverkusen scored three more goals to run away with the three points.

Exequiel Palacios and Victor Boniface scored the other goals for the German Bundesliga champions.

With his goal today, Jeremie Frimpong now has nine goals and seven assists after making 30 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen in the league.
