Elmina Sharks debunked players boycotting training ahead of new season
The General Manager of Elmina Sharks Geroge Wiredu has denied reports claiming that senior players of the club boycotted training on Monday ahead of the start of the new season.
Report went rife in the media that players of Elmina Sharks failed to turn up for training due to their unpaid bonuses and wages.
However, speaking in an interview with OTEC FM, George Wiredu debunked such reportage and says the club does not train on Mondays and players are ready to train ahead of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
"Rubbish such a story, we don't train on Monday's. The players are well preparing for the upcoming season" Wiredu said.
Elmina Sharks will take on Ebusua Dwarfs in their 2020/21 Ghana Premier League opener.
