Eric Donkor resumes AshGold training

AshantiGold defender Eric Donkor participated in full training on Friday after overcoming a minor injury he picked up few days ago.

He returned to first-team training with the Miners ahead of the start of the GFA Normalisation Special Football League in February at various match venues.

It had been feared that the former Kotoko stars would be out of several weeks, however, he took part in light training session with the lads after a short stay in the treatment room.

His club wrote on their twitter account "Eric Donkor and Stephen Banahene recovers from knocks"

AshantiGold are building towards the Ghana FA Normalization Committee 'Special Competition' which will start next month.

The competition is set to replace the truncated 2017/18 Ghana Premier League which was abruptly ended after the airing of the investigative documentary by ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on corruption in Ghana football where some top GFA officials and referees were caught on camera taking bribe.
