Ernest Nuamah transferred to Belgium’s RWD Molenbeek; loaned to Lyon

FC Nordsjaelland have announced transferring Ghana winger Ernest Nuamah to Belgium Jupiler Pro League club RWD Molenbeek.

The Danish Superliga club also disclosed that the 19-year-old Black Stars forward has been directly loaned to French club, Olympique Lyonnais.

Eagle Football, the owners of Olympique Lyonnais, are also the owners of the newly promoted Belgium top flight club, RWD Molenbeek.

Nordsjaelland confirmed this in a statement on their website in their goodbye message to the explosive teen sensation.

After a busy summer with interest from major leagues, Ernest Nuamah has now chosen the next step in his career. The 19-year-old striker has set his sights on the French powerhouse Olympique Lyonnais.

Player of the Year in the 3F Superliga. Young Player of the Year in the 3F Superliga. Ernest Nuamah collected several awards after a fantastic 2022/23 season and even began the new season with a hat-trick and the accolade of Player of the Month.

His strong performances have elevated FC Nordsjælland and simultaneously garnered significant interest from clubs in the biggest leagues. This interest belongs to a class that turns the next step in his career into a record-breaking transfer in the Nordic region, providing Ernest Nuamah with various choices on the grand stages of football.

The decision has fallen on French Olympique Lyonnais. Consequently, FC Nordsjælland has concluded negotiations with the ownership group, Eagle Football, which means that Ernest Nuamah will transfer to the Belgian club RWD Molenbeek and then be directly loaned to Olympique Lyonnais.
