Ex-Liberty Professionals defender Samuel Sarfo optimistic about club’s GPL return
Former Liberty Professionals defender Samuel Sarfo has expressed optimism about the club’s return to the Ghana Premier League.
The Scientific Soccer lads were relegated to the Division One League in 2021 after 22 seasons in the top-flight.
The club has since failed to regain their Premier League status but according to Sarfo, who plies his trade in Kuwait, his former outfit will return to the top-flight soon due to the staructurs in place.
“They are doing their best but it’s just not the time yet for them to gain promotion…the structures are there and it’s just a matter of seasons. One season not going well doesn’t mean the management is bad and the players are bad. I know they will wrap things up and come back stronger.”
Liberty missed out on their target to regain promotion as Heart of Lions were confirmed Champions of Zone Threeof the Division One League.
