The Red Bull Salzburg left-back spent the 2019/2020 football season playing for Zulte Waregem. He settled fine in the new environment and managed to establish himself as a key asset for the team.
At the end of the season, he managed to play in as many as 19 games where he provided 2 assists in the process. Having monitored his play, Anderlecht is now hoping to secure the services of the defender for next season.
Checks have revealed that the Purple and White outfit wants to bolster their squad and believes Gideon Mensah has the quality they need.
First, they want to sign the player on a season-long loan before they look at a permanent deal for him at the end of the season.
Talks are expected to commence between Anderlecht and Red Bull Salzburg in the next couple of weeks.
