FA Cup: Bechem United stroll into last 16 with win over PAC Academy

Bechem United cruised to a 3-0 victory over Division One side PAC Academy in a dominant display at the Mohammed Kamil Arena on Saturday, January 6, 2023, securing their spot in the Round of 16 of the FA Cup.

Despite PAC Academy’s respectable fourth-place standing in Zone 2 of the National Division One League, The Ghana Premier League campaigners proved to be a formidable opponent throughout the match.

The first half saw PAC Academy resiliently absorbing Bechem’s attacks, but their defense crumbled just before halftime when Cephas Mantey scored, giving Bechem the lead.

The Hunters went into the break with the one goal advantage.

The second half witnessed Bechem United’s continued dominance, with Joseph Kinful extending their advantage in the 71st minute.

As the match approached its conclusion, Emmanuel Owusu sealed Bechem’s victory with a goal in stoppage time, ensuring their progression to the next stage of the FA Cup.
