FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers: Black Princesses coach Yussif Basigi invites 30 players ahead Eswatini clash

In a decisive move towards securing their spot in the prestigious FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, the Black Princesses are leaving no stone unturned.

Head coach Yussif Basigi has meticulously curated a 30-player squad, each selected for their exceptional talent and dedication to the game.

The chosen players are set to enter an intensive training camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

The Squad will continue preparations to face Eswatini in the third round qualifying match for the FIFA U20 women’s World Cup.

The team will miss the services of Ampem Darkoa’s Mary Amponsah, Comfort Yeboah, Deborah Brown, Tracy Twum and Abena Anomah Opoku due to the club’s participation in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Ghanaian-born Martha Persis Oteng who plays for Tottenham Hotspur Women makes it to the squad for the first time.

The Black Princesses will look to book a seventh consecutive appearance at the biennial tournament in Colombia next year.

The team is expected to resume camping on Wednesday, October 25th, 5:00 pm at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.
