Black Princesses head coach, Yussif Basigi says he is full of confidence ahead of the final round of the qualifiers for the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

Speaking ahead of a tie against Senegal, the coach said he is motivated by the rich history of the Ghana U20 Women’s national team.

“There is no pressure on me knowing the team has made it to the World Cup since 2010. It motivates me to rather do better because I was one of the coaches that qualified the team to the U-20 Women’s World Cup in 2018.

“So I am looking forward to qualify the team to another World Cup and it is going to be a record. There is no pressure on me but rather I am highly motivated to qualify the team,” Coach Yussif Basigi said as quoted on the website of the Ghana FA.

The first meeting between Ghana and Senegal will take place at Stad Lat Dior in Thies, Senegal on Saturday, January 13, while the reverse fixture is scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
