Former Inter Allies and Legon Cities FC forward, Victorien Adebayor, is set to embark on a new chapter in his football career as he joins South African Premier Soccer League club, AmaZulu FC.

The Nigerien striker has reportedly inked a deal with the Durban based club for the next two years.

Adebayor's transfer journey took an interesting turn as he was on the brink of joining Tanzanian club, Simba SC, on a 2-year deal.

However, the move collapsed unexpectedly at the eleventh hour, leading him to explore other opportunities.

The skillful forward had previously made a move to RS Berkane from Nigerien club, USGN, in 2022. The transfer was completed for a reported fee of $100,000.

Adebayor has a rich footballing experience in Ghana, where he was excellent while playing for Inter Allies and also a stint at Legon Cities.

His performances caught the attention of foreign clubs, leading him to Denmark, where he played for HB Koege.
