Former Asante Kotoko defender Imoro Ibrahim will feature in the Tanzanian top-flight after completing a move to Singida Black Stars FC in the ongoing transfer window.

The highly-rated left-back arrived in the Eastern African country a few days ago to complete his move to the club.

He joined as a free agent after ending his spell with Sudanese giants Al Hilal last year.

The Ghanaian defender was unattached following the termination of contract with Sudanese outfit Al Hilal in July 2023.

He made 10 appearances in the CAF Champions League for Al Hilal during the 2022/23 season before departing the club after war broke out in Sudan.

Imoro exhibited top performance for Al Hilal in the Sudanese top-flight league, scoring one goals before the war.

The 2022/23 Championship was annulled due to the political unrest in the country.

Imoro was named on the bench on Tuesday when Black Stars lost 1-0 to APR FC in the CECAFA Kagame Cup.

He becomes the second Ghanaian player to join the club ahead of the upcoming season after midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh.

Imoro was instrumental when Kotoko annexed the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title.

The 24-year-old made his debut for the Ghana national team in March 2021 when he came on as a substitute in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe.
