RB Salzburg's Sporting Director, Bernhard Seonbuchner, has hailed the club's decision to hand contract extension to promising Ghanaian attacker, Forson Amankwah.
The 21-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a new contract that will keep him at the club until early June 2027.
Seonbuchner said Salzburg’s handling of the former WAFA man’s transition is showing in his progress.
He commended Amankwah's development trajectory, emphasizing the exceptional talent he brings to the team.
"The collaboration with Amankwah Forson is very positive, which can also be seen in his development curve, which is pointing strongly upwards! He is a very talented footballer."
Amankwah's journey with RB Salzburg began in the winter transfer window of 2021, where he had to go out of the club before returning.
After starting with the U18 team of the Red Bull Salzburg and a loan spell at SCR Altach and Liefering, he returned to RB Salzburg, accumulating a total of 25 appearances, four goals, and three assists.
