Ghanaian right back Samuel Inkoom has confessed that former Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery posed the highest problem for him in his career to date.

The 31 year old played at the highest level during his prime years with Swiss side Basel where he won the league and cup in 2010. He also played in a number of Champions League matches with the side, facing a myriad of dangerous wingers.

In his interview with Owuraku Ampofo on Joy News, he chose Ribery as the biggest problem among the lot.

“Frank Ribery is the toughest winger I have ever faced. I played against him in the Champions League in Munich and it was very difficult.”

The duo faced off at the Allianz Arena in December 2010. Inkoom was given a herculean task of marking Ribery, a task that proved bigger than the man. The Frenchman scored a brace on the day.

Inkoom now plays for Georgian outfit Samtredia.
