The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Accra Hearts of Oak, Frederick Moore has lamented over the financial implications of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease on the club.
The disease which has been declared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) has forced the suspension of the Ghanaian football season.
In the absence of the league action in the last 2 months, all clubs in the country are believed to be feeling the financial impact.
Speaking to Happy FM on the impact of COVID-19 on football in Ghana, Frederick Moore has shared that the club’s revenue projection for the year has been hit.
“We’ve lost about two-thirds of the revenue projection we made for this football season and it’s quite a scare”, the Hearts of Oak CEO bemoaned.
He further called on the government and corporate Ghana to extend helping hands to the clubs to support them through these difficult times.
