German-born Ghanaian center-back Hendry Blank has officially joined Austrian Bundesliga outfit RB Salzburg from German giants Borussia Dortmund, as confirmed by the club.

Blank, a promising 19-year-old defender, has committed to a four-year contract with RB Salzburg, securing his association with the Red Bull Arena club until June 30, 2028.

The club expressed their enthusiasm in an official statement, stating, "We are delighted to announce the signing of a young defender with great potential!"

Following the completion of the deal, Blank shared his satisfaction with the move, expressing, "I am pleased that the negotiations went so well, and that I am now an FC Red Bull Salzburg player.

“Everything I have seen from the club so far has been extremely positive. One of my aims is to develop like so many young players have before me and use the chances that you get here."

Having been born and raised in Germany to Ghanaian parents, the teenager maintains eligibility to change allegiance and potentially represent Ghana at the international level, despite having previously played for the Germany U20 national youth team.
