GFA holds a successful one-day workshop for media officers ahead of new domestic league season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has held a successful one-day workshop for all media officers ahead of the imminent start of the 2019/2020 domestic league season. 

The workshop was organized by the Communication Department of the country’s football governing body on Monday, December 16, 2019, at its secretariat.

According to a communique released at the end of the workshop, the motive behind it is to take media officers through the impact of the media on the league, as well as their expected roles on match days.

The participants were also taken through the regulations of the new competition on marketing and media.

The workshop was led by the Acting Communication Director of the GFA, Tamimu Issah. He took the officers through media operations for GFA competitions and the importance of using social media to effectively promote their various clubs.

In addition, he admonished all Venue media coordinators to be firm, and accurate in their various reportage.

On his part, Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi who is the Secretary to the club licensing board highlighted on aspects of the club licensing and it’s implications on the media.

The media officers will be key in promoting the domestic league once it starts later this month.
