Ghana international, Francis Abu has expressed his delight after signing a new contract with Belgian club Cercle Brugge.

The Belgian Pro League side on Monday announced that the Black Stars forward has extended his contract for one more year.

Abu Francis (23) has extended his contract with Cercle Brugge by one year, with an option for an additional season.

“The Ghanaian international has been playing for the club since the summer of 2022. Cercle then took the midfielder away from the Norwegian Nordsjaelland. Francis received his education in Ghana at the well-known Right to Dream Academy,” a club statement from the Belgian side said.

In a post on social media reacting to the deal, Francis Abu said he is excited as he described the club as an amazing one.

“I’m very excited to extend my contract with this amazing football club,” Francis Abu said.
