Ghana Premier League is more difficult than the Confederations Cup - Dreams FC youngster Abdul Aziz Issah
Dreams FC youngster Abdul Aziz Issah says it is difficult to play in the Ghana Premier League than the Africa inter-club competitions.
The 18-year-old has been outstanding for the Still Believe lads in the ongoing CAF Confederations Cup campaign, scoring four goals and providing two assists in the competition as Dreams FC closes in on quarterfinals qualification.
The Ghana FA Cup champions are currently on top of the table with 12 point and are one step away from reaching the next stage.
Speaking in interview, the Ghanaian youngster asserted playing in the Ghana Premier League is more demanding as compared to the Confederations Cup considering the nature of pitches in the country.
“The Ghana Premier League is tough than the Africa campaign. You are able to excel in Africa because there are good pitches out there but the narrative in different in Ghana. You are unable to play good football in Ghana because of bad pitches and sometimes referees. To me, the Ghana league is more difficult than the Confederations Cup”
Dreams have left Accra for Nigeria ahead of their final group game against Rivers United.
Players and officials of the Still Believe lads departed on Friday morning and are expected to touch down in the next one hour to prepare for the game.
The team will hold two training sessions before the much-anticipated encounter on Sunday, March 3, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
