Ghana international Thomas Partey has opened up on his future at Premier League giants, Arsenal amidst speculations over departure.

The Black Stars midfielder faces uncertain future at the London-based club due to persistent injuries. The former Atletico Madrid star has managed only eight appearances this season due to recurring injuries.

Partey recently recovered from an injury that ruled him out of action for several months, missing the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, where Ghana bowed out at group stage.

Earlier reports suggested the Gunners are pursuing Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi as a potential replacement for the Ghana international.

The midfielder was handed his first Premier League start on Wednesday when the Gunners defeated Luton Twon 2-0 at the Emirates to stay in the title challenge.

Partey lasted 67 minutes and made a good account of himself by commanding the midfield for the Gunners as they triumph over Luton.

After the game, Partey responded to speculations about his future at Arsenal, saying he is happy at the club.

“I know a lot of speculations have been going on, but for me, I'm really happy to be here”.

“I’m happy to continue playing for this club, I like Arsenal”, he told Football LDN.

The 30-year-old current contract with the Gunners is expected to expire in the summer of 2025.
