And Laryea Kingston and his charges will be aiming to secure a place at the AFCON for the first time in seven years.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, the former Ghana international said he is undoubtedly confident about his team as they seek to make a meaningful impact.

“We just need motivation. We‘ve played 14 game, scored 46 goals, and conceded six goals. We’ve managed three draws and suffered just a defeat that was against Russia during the invitational tournament. I believe in the boys. Where we are now, I’m very happy and can’t wait to get started”

“Almost all the players had playing time during the tournament in Russia and that shows how confident the technical team are in the team. For me, we have an all-round team that are going to represent the nation. We believe in them” he said.
