Ghanaian attacker Godson Kyeremeh scores in Stade Malherbe Caen's narrow defeat to AJ Auxerre

French-born Ghanaian attacker, Godson Kyeremeh, found the back of the net in Stade Malherbe Caen's 2-1 loss to AJ Auxerre in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday.

The 23-year-old attacker started the game at the Stade de l'Abbé-Deschamps and played for 27 minutes before being substituted by French forward Amine Salama.

Kyeremeh opened the scoring for Caen in the 10th minute of the game, giving the visitors an early 1-0 lead. Despite his early goal, Caen was unable to maintain their advantage as Rayan Raveloson equalized for Auxerre in the 76th minute.

The home team took the lead eight minutes before full-time when Jubal scored the winning goal.

Kyeremeh has been a key player for Caen this season, having played 29 games and scoring three goals, while also providing six assists.

Caen is 8th on the Ligue 2 table with 42 points after 29 games. Caen will travel to Stade Robert Diochon to take on Quevilly Rouen in their next league game.
