Ghanaian forward Prince Osei Owusu opened his scoring account in the Major Soccer League when Toronto FC locked horns with Atlanta United.

The 27-year-old attacker made substitute appearances for Toronto in their 2-0 win over their opponent at the BMO Field at the weekend.

Owusu was introduced in the 55th minute mark, replacing Deandre Kerr and made his presence felt in the much-anticipated clash by netting his first goal of the season for the club.

Toronto FC opened the scoring after just 35 minutes into the game, when Tyrese Spicer hit the back of the net for the home team after connecting from Deandre Kerr pass.

Putting on a stellar performance, the Ghanaian international fired home his side second goal in the 71st minute to seal victory for Toronto FC.

Owusu, who joined Toronto FC, in August last year will be hoping for more game time after netting his first of the season.

The 27-year-old, who spent most of his career in Germany, has represented the European nation at youth levels but remains eligible to play for Ghana at senior level.
