Dutch-born Ghanaian Jeremie Frimpong has shared his excitement after helping Bayer Leverkusen to seal qualification to the finals of the UEFA Europa League.

Frimpong was called to action on Thursday night when his outfit played out a 2-2 draw with AS Roma in the second leg tie at the Bay Arena.

The Italian giants opened the scoring through Leandro Parades, who found the back of the net from the spot in the 43rd minute.

Later in the 66th minute, the player scored again from 12 yards to double the lead for the Italians and draw level with Bayer Leverkusen on aggregate.

With a never-say-die attitude, Jeremie Frimpong and his Bayer Leverkusen teammates came from behind to force the match to end in a 2-2 draw.

An own goal by Gianluca Mancini in the 82nd minute plus an injury-time equalizer by substitute Josip Stanisic did the trick for the Germans.

With a 4-2 aggregate win, Leverkusen will play in the final of this season’s Europa League.

However, the Dutch-Ghanaian has taken to social media to share his excitement for his outfit qualification to the finals.

“WE ARE IN THE @EuropaLeague FINAL 🖤❤” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Frimpong has played key roles for the German side since the start of the football season. He has racked up 14 goals and provided 11 assists as a defender across competitions.
