Ghana’s Black Satellites make light work of Kings Palace in preparatory game ahead of African Games

Ghana’s Black Satellites defeated lower tier side Division One League side Kings Palace 5-0 in a preparatory game for the upcoming African Games.

The team are sharpening their rough edges ahead of the African Games, which will kick start on March 8, 2024 in Accra.

As part of preparations, Black Satellites engaged the lower-tier club in a friendly at the Akotex Park in Akosombo on Wednesday.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.

Putting up a stellar perfromance in the second half, the Ghana U20 team made light work of their opponent, securing a resounding 5-0 win against Kings Palace.

Goals from Abdul Aziz Issah, Abdul Hakeem, Michael Ephson and Jerry Afriyie's brace propelled Black Satellites to victory.

Ghana will host the rest of Africa from March 8 to 22, with the hopes of topping the medal table at the multi-sport event.

The Black Satellites have been drawn in Group A alongside Congo, Benin and Gambia.
