Ghanaian duo of Gideon Mensah and Elisha Owusu are poised to showcase their talents in the upcoming French Ligue 1 2024-2025 season.
Their journey to the elite division comes on the heels of AJ Auxerre's triumphant return, securing immediate promotion from Ligue 2.
Auxerre solidified their spot in the forthcoming Ligue 1 campaign with a resounding 2-0 victory over Paris Football Club.
The decisive goals came from Lassine Sinayoko in the 22nd minute and Ado Onaiwu in the 57th minute, clinching the crucial win.
This victory extends Auxerre's lead at the summit of the Ligue 2 standings to six points, with only two matches remaining in the season.
The team is scheduled to face off against Amiens SC and Concarneau on Friday, May 10 and Friday, May 17, respectively, to conclude their season.
Mensah and Owusu, integral to Auxerre's success, have played pivotal roles in the team's resurgence.
