Ghana's Joseph Paintsil named in MLS Team of the Week

Ghana international, Joseph Paintsil has been named in the Major League Soccer Team of Week 28 after another impressive display for LA Galaxy.

The 26-year-old was on the scoresheet in LA Galaxy's 3-2 victory over Portland Timbers.

Paintsil assisted former Barcelona midfielder Ruqui Puig with the opener before finding fellow Designated Player Gabriel Pec for his side's second.

The former KRC Genk attacker then netted the decisive goal on the hour mark to send LA Galaxy to the top of the table in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, he is joined by former Barcelona defender Jordi Alba, who plays for Inter Miami, Toronto's Richie Laryea, and Iuri Tavares of Charlotte FC in the Team of the Week.

Other players making the squad are Daniel Gazdag of Philadelphia Union, Cole Bassett of Colorado Rapids, Atlanta's Stian Gregersen, Griffin Dorsey of Houston, and goalkeeper Roman Burki as well as Dennis Bouanga of LAFC.
