Black Queens defender, Portia Boakye has expressed optimism in the chances of her Djugarden IF DDF side to defeat AIK on Sunday when the two teams lock horns.

Having established himself as one of the top players for the top-flight club in the Swedish Women's League, the Ghana international will have a big role to play this weekend when her team takes on the opponent in the derby.

Speaking in a pre-match interview, Portia Boakye says Djugarden have a very strong team and can hence defeat their AIK rivals.

"We have met AIK a few times lately and we won against them twice in the cup last year, at the same time we lost the training match last winter and the derby is never easy. So all of us players and coaches prepare to the maximum for this match. It is a very important match for us and a match we must win," she said.

Portia Boakye continued, "AIK is a good team but we are also a strong team and this time it will be different because it is an all-Swedish derby. So I'm really looking forward to it and it's going to be a lot of fun to meet them at home at the Stadium."

The upcoming big game will be played at the Stockholm Stadium.
