Great Olymics defender Godfred Saka has described his failure to play for the Ghana senior male national team as a shame.

The 33-year-old who spent close to a decade playing for Ghana Premier League giants Aduana Stars was untouchable in his position for most seasons.

Despite his consistencies, he only got the opportunity to play for the Black Stars B team during the 2014 CHAN tournament. His dream to play for the Black Stars could not be met particularly because he never earned a call-up.

Looking back in an interview with Sikka FM as he nears retirement, Godfred Sakka has lamented his failed aspiration.

“It's a shame I couldn't make it to the Senior National Team (the Black Stars). It makes me feel bad always", the former Aduana Stars captain said.

He is now with Olympics but is reportedly set to be released to allow room for the club to bring in new recruitments.
