Former Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics have announced the early release of midfielder Emmanuel Antwi ahead of his reported move to Asante Kotoko.

The club on Tuesday afternoon said the player’s contract was due to expire in no time and they have therefore decided to let him go early so he can join any club he wishes to sign for.

“We confirm that the two-year contract between Accra Great Olympics (Club) and Emmanuel Antwi (Player) will expire on 3rd August, 2024,” the club said in a statement.

“The Club has however agreed on an early release to enable the Player play for a Club of his choice subject to an agreed compensation paid by the Player.

“The Player is therefore free to join any Club of his choice.”

Antwi is reportedly already in Kumasi to complete his medicals as a Kotoko player.

He will sign a three-year deal ahead of his unveiling.
