Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics has planned to file a protest against West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Secretariat tomorrow for fielding a goalkeeper wearing an unsanctioned football hose.

The two top-flight clubs were in action over the weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium when they honored a Match Week 7 fixture of the ongoing 2019/2020 season.

On the day, Saint Osei who is the Public Relations Officer for Great Olympics has revealed that the WAFA goalkeeper wore football hose different from the one the away team presented during their pre-match meeting.

Speaking to Accra-based Angel FM on Monday evening, he opines that the club will file a protest with the GFA against the club from Sogakope.

“Accra Great Olympics will on Tuesday file protest against WAFA SC for allowing their goalkeeper to wear a football hose which was different from the one presented at the pre-match conference”, Saint Osei said.

If Great Olympics wins the protest with the GFA, WAFA’s 3 points amassed from winning 1-0 at the end of the match will be given to the protesters.
