Heart of Lions are keen about surviving in the Ghana Premier League at the end of the 2023/24 season.

With 32 points, the Premier League returnees find themselves in the relegation drop. They are currently 17th on the league standings, with five games to end the campaign.

Speaking in an interview, the communications director of the Lions,Eric Eli Adzie affirmed his team’s chances of surviving in the Ghana Premier League.

"If you look at the table now, we have actually closed the gap on almost all the teams that are on the bottom fighting for relegation" he told Swiss FM.

"Mathematically we are not yet out five matches to end the season that is a lot of points at stake. We are anticipating that we will continue to play like how we are doing now, pick some valuable points away and come back home and win our home games"

"That will actually aid our survival credentials. It’s not going to be easy because other teams are also aiming for survival. When it gets to this stage a lot is as stake but for us as a team we are focus on our matches and picking it one after one. We are well focused to survive the league" he stated.

Heart of Lions next fixture is against Dreams FC in Dawu at the Theatre of Dreams in week 30 encounter.
