Hearts of Oak refute reports on Samuel Boadu's possible return as head coach
In response to recent speculation, Ghanaian football powerhouse Hearts of Oak has categorically denied any ongoing negotiations or connections with former head coach Samuel Boadu regarding a potential return to the club in the capacity of head coach.
Contrary to reports that surfaced on Tuesday suggesting Boadu's imminent return, sources within Hearts of Oak assert that no discussions are taking place with the accomplished tactician.
According to information from Oyerepa FM, a source affiliated with Hearts of Oak emphasized that the club is actively pursuing the appointment of a new coach in the near future.
The initial reports, citing discussions with Samuel Boadu to coach the Rainbow club, were highlighted by Onua Sports. Boadu previously served as Hearts' coach, securing a three-and-a-half-year deal in March 2021 following the departure of Serbian Kosta Papic.
His tenure saw notable achievements, winning five trophies in less than two years, including the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League, two FA Cups (2021, 2021), the Ghana Super Cup, and the President's Cup.
Despite these successes, challenges emerged during Hearts of Oak's first CAF inter-club campaign since 2015. The team is currently positioned 10th on the Ghana Premier League table with 21 points after the completion of the first round of matches.
