Hearts of Oak supporters at Tema Newtown are advocating for interim coach Edward Nii Odoom to be made the permanent head coach for the side.

According to the supporters who spoke to GNA, they believe the Youth coach has performed extremely well with the team since taking over from Coach Kim Grant who was sacked after Match Week 1 of the Ghana Premier League.

Coach Odoom who has played 8 matches, has been average when you look at the results he has guided the Phobians to pick up. So far he has won 3, drawn 2 and lost 2 as well.

Fans of the Rainbow team at Tema Newtown are confident these stats are good enough as they are now calling on the management of the club to retain him.

Some of the supporters opine that they have been to the training grounds of the club and have been impressed with the work the youth trainer has been putting in.

Up next for coach Odoom and his Hearts of Oak side, they will take on Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday in a Match Week 9 fixture of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
