Ghanaian winger, Latif Blessing has bemoaned the lack of national team call-ups whiles indicating that he is the best Ghanaian player playing in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

The former Liberty Professionals man has couched a name for himself in the MLS but seems to always be on the reject list when it comes to inviting players to represent the Black Stars in any national team assignment.

Speaking an interview with Mark Whicker of ocregister.com, Blessing who now plays for Los Angeles FC says he is baffled by the constant neglect by Black Stars coaches though he believes he is the best Ghanaian player in the MLS.

He shared, “When I was in Kansas City the coach [Kwesi Appiah] of the national team said he was coming to watch me, so I’d better play my best. I got two calls. I don’t hear from him. So I say, let’s move on. I heard they were going to call me when I was here. I think I’m the best player from Ghana who is playing in the MLS, so why not me?”.

The attacker emerged as the best player of the season at the end of the 2016 Ghana Premier League season where he also finished as the top goal scorer in the division.

He has become a household name in the MLS and has contributed directly to 11 goals (6 goals, 5 assists) after making 31 appearances for LAFC in the ongoing season.
