The Miners are expected to play in Division Two after suffering demotion after being found guilty of match manipulation.

According to him, his desire to follow in the footsteps of his elder brother, Joseph Esso, who plays for MC Algiers.

Speaking to Angel TV, Eric says he will not be bothered by the quality of the league or the environment.

“At the moment, even if it’s Ukraine or Iraq, I will gladly play there. It’s every player’s dream to play abroad to better their lives," he said.

“And I have that in mind now. That is my ambition," he added.

And Esso has reiterated the statement to close football friends and family.

His desire to leave Ghana will have to wait due to the 24-month ban for the match-fixing practice by his Ashantigold and Inter Allies in the 2020/21 league season.

Eric is still working to have the ban overturned by the GFA.
