I need to continue working hard to merit a place in next Black Stars call-up – Edmund Addo

Ghana international, Edmund Addo has indicated that he won’t get complacent despite his impressive performance for the Black Stars this month.

The midfielder was part of the Ghana squad that played Nigeria and Uganda in the March international break.

Reflecting on the two games, Edmund Addo said although he did well he needs to continue working hard on his return to his club side.

He believes this is the only way coach Otto Addo will select him in the next Black Stars squad.

"I think I’m confident to be part of the team but you know the coaching staff decides on who to be handed a call up at a particular moment. All I need to do is to continue working hard at club level to convince the coach to cement a place in the squad,” Edmund Addo said.

Up next for Ghana, the Black Stars will assemble in June to play two matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
