Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has promised to work hard in order to help the club achieve good things in the upcoming season.

Danlad made ten appearances for the Porcupine Warriors for the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season because of national assignments.

The 20-year-old earned a call-up to the senior national team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He was also part of the CHAN team that represented Ghana at the championship in Algeria in early 2023. Danlad was also called-up for the U23 AFCON that took place in Morocco.

Speaking to Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com, the 20-year-old goalkeeper promised to work hard to contribute to the club success in the upcoming after missing a chunk of games last season due to national assignments.

“Last season, I didn’t play enough matches for Kotoko because of my involvement in the national teams. I represented the Black Stars, Black Galaxies and Black Meteors at the various tournaments in the course of the season. National team duties limited me to fewer number of games last-term. I made only 10 appearances in the league”

“Going into the new season, I think I can concentrate a lot at club level because there wouldn’t be many national assignments. I will try my possible best to work hard as previously in order to help the club achieve good things in the upcoming season”

Asante Kotoko will begin their 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign with a home game against returnees, Heart of Lions.
