Ghana international Andre Ayew has shared his excitement after scoring his first goal at the Stade Océane to lead Le Havre to victory over Strasbourg in the Frecnh Ligue 1.

Ayew scored for the second game running to inspire Le Havre out of the drop zone with a 3-1 victory over Strasbourg on Saturday.

The veteran forward fired home late in the game as the hosts snatch victory to open the gap between them and relegation places to three points.

After the game, the Ghanaian international took to social media to express his joy after scoring on home turf for the first time since joining the club in November 2023.

“+3. Beautiful atmosphere in our stadium and big game made by the whole team. Happy to have scored my 1st goal in our stadium in front of our audience. Congratulations little brother @yassine.kechta” he wrote on Instagram sighted by Footballghana.com.

Midfielder Yassine Kechta opened the scoring for Le Havre in the 24th minute before adding his second after the break.

Strasbourg pulled one back through Frederic Guilbert with four minutes remaining as the visitors piled pressure on Le Havre.

But the Black Stars skipper stepped up to score in injury time to seal victory for the host in the much-anticipated clash.

Ayew has been influential for Le Havre since joining the club as a free agent last year, netting his fifth goal of the campaign for the club.
