Congolese defender Gilbalni O’Neil Ndongani Samba has set an ambitious target after securing a move to Asante Kotoko.

The highly-rated defender completed his move to the Porcupine Warriors last week, signing a three-year deal with the club.

He is expected to play a huge role for Kotoko in the upcoming season following their disappointing performance last term.

Speaking to the club’s media, Samba emphasized he joined Asante Kotoko to achieve something big and not to joke.

“I want the supporters of the club to push me so I can give my best for the team. I’m here not to joke. I’m here to achieve something big with the club so I just want the fans to push me and I will let them enjoy” he said.

The highly-rated defender has already commenced training with Asante Kotoko as the team gear up for the Democracy Cup on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Ndongani becomes the fourth signing of Asante Kotoko in the off-season, joining new recruits Emmanuel Antwi, Esmat Hassabalbagi, and Yoouef Yagoub.
