Bibiani Gold Stars winger, Kingsford Boafo has set sights on representing Ghana at the U-20 level following his impressive display for the newly-promoted side in the Ghana Premier League.

The 18-year-old has been one of the standout players for the club as they lie 10th on the league table with 10 points after eight matches so far.

Speaking in an interview with the GNA Sports in Tema, at the weekend, Boafo disclosed the intent to focus on scoring more goals in the premier league which would serve as the ticket to attract call-up into the Black Satellite.

"I’m ready to play for the Black Satellite and to defend the Ghana flag through football," Boafo told GNA Sports.

"I have watched the national under 20 football team, I have played against some of them at the domestic level week in and week out, it would be definitely interesting playing with them this time around to uplift the flag of Ghana high."

Boafo made his debut in the Premier League at age 17 and scored the first historic league goal for Bibiani Gold Stars this season against Berekum Chelsea at home.
